SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it's alarmed about the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the sassa area on a regular basis. The provider stage established for intervention activities a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing website of all customers and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
